We are an intrepid group of Australian soldiers, sailors and airmen based at Borneo Barracks, Cabarlah, Queensland, who want to make a difference in the fight against cancer.

A few of us were sitting around having a coffee at Christmas, 2009. Our mate Ken had just completed treatment for cancer and the talk turned to how he (and us for that matter) were going to improve our fitness, and how we could contribute in the battle against cancer. We decided to start raising funds for cancer research and assist those who are a lot smarter than us, try to ascertain "Why!". Our mate Ken said this was the first question he asked when he was diagnosed, and unfortunately no-one really knew the answer.

So, in support of our good mate Kenny, as well as our own and other families who have been afflicted by this disease, we decided to gather together a group of like minded lunatics and cycle from Toowoomba to Canberra.
